Description:
American Standard ASTM 36 is carbon structural plate, performance standards ASTM A36/A36M-03a, this standard applies to bridges and buildings used for riveting, bolting and welding structure, as well as general purpose structural steel beam quality carbon steel, steel and steel rods. According to the steel plate thickness points, sheet steel < 4 mm (the most thin 0.2 mm), thick steel plate 4 ~ sixty mm, very thick steel plate 60 to 115 mm. The use of galvanized/galvannealed products in the automotive industry is growing over the years because of the requirements for improved corrosion resistance and paint adherence. Most automotive manufacturers use galvanized products for both exterior and interiorparts, enabling them to guarantee up to life-time warranty against corrosion. When iron is smelted from its ore by commercial processes, it contains more
carbon than is desirable. To become steel, it must be melted and reprocessed to reduce the carbon to the correct amount, at which point other elements
can be added. This liquid is then continuously cast into long slabs or cast into ingots. Approximately 96% of steel is continuously cast, while only 4% is
produced as cast steel ingots.
